Forgotten places. The dead walls.

Year after year, people grow older and young people leave, and towns, our home towns, became empty. Many of them are now just a collection of walls, broken doors and windows and the streets are only populated by the remains of those living things that our ancestors planted. Sometimes, when the wind blows or the water runs, it is possible to hear the sound of the kids playing, when there was a school, or the steps of the women going to the church. Now, only sometimes, we return to them in our memories.

  1. I know what you are talking about dear Santi, not so far for me too. I hate to see the towns like that… Touches my heart. I am so emotional one… But this is the reality too. People, especially young people leave for a new cities and who stays at the behind, they are the old people… when they die, it becomes like a ghost town… I felt and feel all feelings of life in this ghost town…

On the other hand, as being an artist, like you, it hits more and you want to make them alive with your camera. The dead walls… hit me. especially I loved how you expressed this stiuation… dead walls… Like a title of a novel…

Thank you, with my love, nia

    • Thanks, Richard!!! This was a, once upon a time, rich town. I loved the vine as it’s like a symbol of the harshness of the land, a survivor in an empty space (the house).
